The first-generation modified derivative of guar gum, produced by hydroxypropyl etherification of native guar gum.
Function: Compared to native GG guar gum, it has significantly improved water solubility, lower water-insoluble residue, optimized temperature resistance, and stronger crosslinking activity. Suitable for fracturing operations in medium-to-low temperature conventional oil and gas wells; the most widely used modified guar gum gelling agent in onshore oil and gas fields in China.
1. Appearance: Milky white fine powder, no caking
2. Moisture: ≤10.0%
3. Water-insoluble content: ≤4.0%
4. Substitution degree (Hydroxypropyl): 0.18~0.25
5. Base fluid viscosity (0.5%, 25°C): ≥60 mPa·s
6. pH (1% aqueous solution): 7.0~8.5
7. Temperature resistance: Suitable for well temperatures below 140°C; crosslinked gel stability is good
8. Ignition residue: ≤1.2%
