Native guar gum, a natural plant-based polysaccharide polymer, is the most classic and widely used base gelling agent for water-based fracturing fluids in oil and gas fields.
Function: Swells and significantly increases fluid viscosity upon contact with water, carrying proppant into formation fractures; low cost, high viscosity-building efficiency; the foundational gelling material for conventional, low-temperature, and normal-pressure oil and gas well water-based fracturing.
1. Appearance: Pale yellow free-flowing powder
2. Moisture: ≤12.0%
3. Water-insoluble content: ≤12.0%
4. Base fluid viscosity (0.6% base fluid, 25°C): ≥50 mPa·s
5. pH (1% aqueous solution): 6.5~8.0
6. Ignition residue: ≤1.5%
7. Crosslinking compatibility: Can crosslink with organic boron crosslinker at room temperature; gel temperature resistance ≤90°C
